Following in the steps of British Columbia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Nova Scotia Premier Iain Rankin announced the signing of a new bilateral agreement that will help improve access to ELCC in the province.
In addition to creating 4,000 new spaces over the next five years, the agreement will help expand not-for-profit and public delivery in schools while also strengthening Nova Scotia’s workforce of early childhood educators.
Trudeau and Rankin also highlighted how the new agreement will help build a child care system that is fully inclusive of children with disabilities and those needing enhanced or individual supports. A link to the announcement can be found here.
